URGENT PRO-LIFE ALERT

 Please Take Action Today!
Ultrasound Bill Coming up for Vote Soon in State House

The PA House is getting ready to vote on legislation that would make sure that a woman seeking abortion would first be offered an ultrasound image of her unborn baby.

An important pro-life bill - House Bill 1077 – the Women’s Right-to-Know Act – is expected to come up for a vote in the PA House very soon and your help is needed to pass it!

The Women’s Right-to-Know Act would make sure women get all the facts BEFORE they go through with an abortion.

Here’s what HB 1077 would do:

  • Require abortion clinics to perform an ultrasound at least 24 hours before an abortion (or provide a list of other ultrasound providers, including pregnancy care centers);
  • Require that pregnant women be informed of their right to view the live ultrasound image of her unborn baby while the test is being performed;
  • Require that printed photos of those ultrasound images be provided to women.

We need to act now! Women deserve the truth about pregnancy and abortion.

Call your State Representative ASAP and tell him or her to Support HB 1077.

  1. Then call your State Senator and ask him to support HB 1077 when it comes over from the House.
  2. Help spread the word! Tell other pro-lifers, fellow church members, your E-mail lists, and get others to call their State Reps and State Senators.

The 9 Principles and 12 Values

If you believe in at least 7 of the 9 principles please join this patriotic movement...
1. America Is Good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
God “The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.” from George Washington’s first Inaugural address.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
Honesty “I hope that I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider to be the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.” George Washington

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
Marriage/Family “It is in the love of one’s family only that heartfelt happiness is known. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family.” Thomas Jefferson

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
Justice “I deem one of the essential principles of our government… equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political.” Thomas Jefferson

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
Life, Liberty, & The Pursuit of Happiness “Everyone has a natural right to choose that vocation in life which he thinks most likely to give him comfortable subsistence.” Thomas Jefferson

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
Charity “It is not everyone who asketh that deserveth charity; all however, are worth of the inquiry or the deserving may suffer.” George Washington

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
On your right to disagree “In a free and republican government, you cannot restrain the voice of the multitude; every man will speak as he thinks, or more properly without thinking.” George Washington

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
Who works for whom? “I consider the people who constitute a society or a nation as the source of all authority in that nation.” Thomas Jefferson

The 12 Values
* Honesty
* Reverence
* Hope
* Thrift
* Humility
* Charity
* Sincerity
* Moderation
* Hard Work
* Courage
* Personal Responsibility
* Gratitude

Action Alert #2

SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR REP. SWANGER’S
“AMERICAN AND PENNSYLVANIA LAWS FOR
PENNSYLVANIA COURTS”

As you may know, Pennsylvania State Representative, RoseMarie Swanger introduced House Bill 2029, legislation reaffirming the consideration of “American and Pennsylvania Laws for Pennsylvania Courts.”

This common-sense proposal protects Pennsylvanians’ individual constitutional rights from foreign laws or legal doctrines where the application of those laws/doctrines would violate those constitutional rights. No particular foreign law is singled out. The proposal applies to them all.

It’s that simple.

But as simple and common-sense as Rep. Swanger’s bill may be, there are still those like the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) who seek to stop her protective measure dead in its tracks. Ms. Swanger has patriotically said that she is willing to confront the critics of her bill—and further that she is “not afraid to stand up for our country and our rights and freedoms.” In fact Rep. Swanger feels that it’s her duty as a Pennsylvania elected official to do so.

It is critical that Rep. Swanger’s office hears support from Pennsylvanians on this constitutional rights issue. The voice of the grassroots is what is needed to move important legislation like HB 2029 forward and into law!

Can we count on you to take a few moments today and let her hear from you? Please send your written message of support to Rep. Swanger (PLEASE NO PHONE CALLS) either via

e-mail: rswanger@pahousegop.com;

Facebook: Facebook.com/RepSwanger;
or via “snail mail” to:

Representative RoseMarie Swanger
2232 Lebanon Valley Mall
Lebanon , PA 17042

As always, thank you for all of your efforts. You ARE making a difference!

REMEMBER, YOUR VOICE COUNTS!
IF EACH OF US DOES JUST A LITTLE, TOGETHER WE CAN
ACCOMPLISH A LOT !

State GOP votes to Endorse Steve Welch

Today the State Republican Committee voted 201 to 142 to endorse the Senate race.  The Governor used the bully pulpit to push for this endorsement.  Some called this leadership.  Now if only Corbett would use those same tactics to get the prevailing wage bills off Turzai's Desk and to the floor for a vote; if only Corbett would use the same tactics to fight for real property Tax reform and a comprehensive school choice bill, if only Corbett would take the lead on the Voter ID Bill; if only....
